President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has missiles for the Patriot system, but their use is cautious – only against the most dangerous targets. He said this during a conversation with journalists.

“We use missiles for Patriot, as we have always done, carefully. We are working on the most complex missiles – ballistic and cruise missiles. We have the missiles. We have partners who help us,” the President stressed.

Zelenskyy also confirmed that Russia is concentrating more than 50,000 troops in the Sumy region, aiming to create a so-called 10-kilometre buffer zone deep into Ukrainian territory.

According to the head of state, the enemy has deployed most of its forces to the Kursk direction, where a potential offensive is being prepared. In response, Ukrainian forces are conducting manoeuvres to disrupt the enemy’s logistics. As an example, Zelenskyy cited the successful actions of the Ukrainian army, which captured eight Russian prisoners near Tiotkino.

“We are there until the Russians either end the war or take at least the first step – a ceasefire,” Zelenskyy said.

The President added that Russia failed to conduct a major offensive, in particular due to the activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in other areas. Over the past two days, Ukrainian forces managed to push the enemy back 4 km in Kostiantynivka, thwarting a possible redeployment of troops from the Pokrovske direction.

Regarding the new air defence systems, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is close to receiving additional decisions, although he has not disclosed details yet:

“As for the licensing of other air defence systems, we are very close,” the President concluded.
