348th Day of the War in Israel: Timeline of Events

Wednesday, September 18, 2024, marks the 348th day of the “Iron Swords” war, which Israel has been waging since October 7, 2023, against terrorist organizations in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and Lebanon. The conflict continues with ground operations and airstrikes. According to newsru.co.il, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are actively destroying Hamas infrastructure in Gaza, while also launching strikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. Military actions are also taking place in Judea and Samaria.

  • 11:00 AM
    Red alert sirens (“Tzeva Adom”) sounded in several Upper Galilee settlements, likely due to rocket fire from Lebanon.
  • 09:00 AM
    Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths of 11 people following explosions caused by pagers used by Hezbollah operatives. Among the dead were at least six militants, three men, a young woman, and a 10-year-old girl. Approximately 3,000 people were hospitalized, with hundreds in serious or critical condition. Some media outlets reported 4,000 injuries, but these figures were not confirmed. The IDF also reported that on the evening of September 17, its air force struck a Hezbollah terrorist group in the Majdal Selem area in southern Lebanon, with a direct hit. Hezbollah confirmed the deaths of two militants in this attack. Additionally, Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah positions in five different locations in southern Lebanon, including Al-Adaisseh, Markaba, Blida, Marun al-Ras, and Shihin.
