Explosions at the Toropets Munitions Depot
Anatoliy Khrapchynsky, Deputy Director General of a company specializing in electronic warfare systems and an aviation expert, commented on the explosions at a munitions depot in Toropets, Tver Oblast, Russia, during an interview with Radio NV.

Capabilities of Ukrainian Drones
“This is about 500 km from the Ukrainian border. Most of our UAV systems can strike targets at this distance,” noted Khrapchynsky.

Domino Effect and the Spectacle of the Explosions
He highlighted the spectacle of the explosions captured on video, which have been widely circulated on social media:
“The strike on the munitions storage facilities, using elements of the same UAV systems, is quite impressive. There is repeated detonation, and the fact that most of the munitions are likely stored in the open air creates a domino effect where everything starts being destroyed.”

Psychological Pressure on Russian Military
He recalled that drones had recently reached the Engels airfield. According to him, such strikes exert psychological pressure on the military.

Combined Attacks and the Capabilities of Ukrainian Forces
Khrapchynsky also outlined the future potential of such attacks:
“We have the ability to use Neptune on land, and UAVs with rocket propulsion. This allows us to conduct combined strikes against Russia, achieving such results.”

Aftermath of the Attack on Toropets
On the night of September 18, after a UAV attack in the Russian city of Toropets, a fire broke out and munitions reportedly began detonating. Regional Governor Igor Rudenya ordered the partial evacuation of local residents.

Information About the Destroyed Weaponry
The depot in Toropets stored S-400, Iskander, and North Korean KN23 missiles, according to reports from the Center for Countering Disinformation. Informed sources from the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) reported that the drones were operated by the SSU, MDI, and Special Operations Forces.
