The results of the survey were published: 63% of Russians support a peace treaty with Ukraine
A growing desire for compromise
The “Chronicles” project, in cooperation with the research group Extreme Scan, conducted a telephone survey among the population of Russia, the results of which indicate the growing desire of Russians to compromise and end the war with Ukraine.

Support for peace negotiations
According to data published by “Novaya Gazeta Europa”, 49% of Russians support the withdrawal of troops and peace talks with Ukraine without achieving the goals of the “special military operation.” This is the maximum indicator since the beginning of the conflict. Only 33% of respondents spoke against such a decision.
The desire to conclude a peace treaty
More than half of the respondents — 63% — expressed the wish that a peace treaty with mutual concessions be concluded between Russia and Ukraine in the coming year. When choosing between peace and a new mobilization, 49% of respondents chose peace, while only 29% supported the idea of a new mobilization.
Decrease in readiness for war
The number of those who are ready to go to war in Ukraine on the order of the Ministry of Defense decreased from 42% to 32%. At the same time, the number of respondents who directly declared their unwillingness to participate in a “special military operation” increased from 21% to 30%.
Survey methodology
The survey was conducted from September 10 to 17, 800 respondents took part in it, the sample was stratified and random. The maximum measurement error is 3.45% with a 95% confidence interval.
