The 1006th day of the war in Ukraine, the occupiers’ losses.
The situation on the frontline remains extremely difficult as the one thousand and sixth day of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces continues. Despite the enemy’s numerical superiority in manpower and equipment, Ukrainian soldiers continue to heroically defend their positions, inflicting significant losses on the aggressor. This was reported by Time Ukraine Israel, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Intensity of attacks and large-scale enemy losses
Over the past day, 217 combat engagements were recorded, during which the enemy launched a powerful missile strike and carried out 67 air raids. The Russian army also used 85 precision-guided aerial bombs and fired more than 4,200 artillery rounds, including 121 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. The fighting affected areas from Chernihiv to Zaporizhzhia, including the villages of Khrynivka, Hlukhiv, Hraniv, Lyman, Velyka Novosilka and other settlements in several regions.
Heroic repulse of the aggressor on all fronts
Ukrainian defenders repelled the assaults on numerous fronts:
- Kharkiv sector: six attacks were repelled near Kozacha Lopan, Tykhne and Vovchansk.
- Kupyansk sector: 14 attacks on positions near Holubivka, Pishchane, Lozova and other locations.
- Liman sector: 15 attacks were repelled, the aggressor tried to break through Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka and Kruhliakivka.
- Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk sectors: the enemy made 59 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Stupochky, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka and Selydove.
- Kurakhove sector: defenders repelled 67 attacks, with the most intense fighting taking place near Berestky, Kurakhove and Yelizavetivka.
- The Vremivsk sector: 14 attacks with the use of aircraft, which were repelled in the areas of Trudove and Novosilka.
- Prydniprovskyi sector: the occupiers tried to advance four times, but Ukrainian forces remain unbroken.
Repulsing the enemy and a successful operation in the rear
Ukrainian troops continue to inflict significant losses on the Russian invaders in both manpower and equipment. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders killed 1,610 Russian troops, destroyed six tanks, 27 armoured vehicles, 22 artillery pieces, 114 drones, as well as 84 vehicles and special equipment.
